Kaikyo Distilley
The Kaikyo Distillery (named after the Akashi-Kaikyo bridge that lies at the foot of the distillery) is located near Akashi, a city located in southern Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, on the Seto Inland Sea west of Kobe.
The Yonesawa family have been distilling since 1917 but it was a century later that whisky production was first initiated. Hatozaki, the whisky produced by the distillery is named after a nearby lighthouse (the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan).
