Falanghina “Rocca Leoni”
Elegant, floral and fragrant, with clearly perceptible scents of pineapple, and yellow peach, intertwined with broom and rose whiffs. Delicate sage reminiscences. Balanced and pleasant taste, fully resembling nose impressions with underlying delicate walnut scents.
In 1960 Villa Matilde was built at the foot of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano, a few kilometres from Naples, with the aim of reviving the cult wines that were made in that same area at the time of the Roman Empire. To do this, they researched and found the ancient varieties that these wines were made with. As a result, they became one of the first wineries to bring the famous Falerno wine back to the market.
